The link for the proposed by-law amendment is here: UMANT Bylaw Amendment 2026.
Background:
Historically the associate membership has only been allowed to vote. This year, we are proposing a change that would allow more diversity of thought in the executive leadership roles.
Discussions regarding a proposed amendment was held during the July UMANT meeting and after an approved vote and a committee was formed to draft the bylaws amendment. The UMANT Executive committee once again voted on the bylaws amendment and they was approved during the August Executive meeting.
The ballot will close Wednesday, October 7th, and the results of the ballot will be canvassed at the November 6th Executive Committee Meeting.
The amendment is then voted upon for 30 days, and passage depends upon a simple majority.
Please review the proposed amendment and be sure to provide your input on this Google form linked here.
We appreciate your time in helping to make UMANT better able to serve you!
