Join us for an engaging Lunch & Learn focused on how leaders can recognize the signs of burnout, create the right headspace to lead effectively, and build healthier, more resilient teams.
This session will provide practical strategies for managing stress, maintaining perspective in demanding environments, and fostering a culture that supports both productivity and well-being. Whether you are leading a team, supporting an organization, or looking to strengthen your own leadership approach, attendees will leave with actionable tools and insights they can immediately apply in their professional lives.
The session will feature Chad Wright, author of Win the Battle Against Burnout. Chad is an author, speaker, facilitator of deep conversations, and amateur philosopher who is passionate about transforming the future of leadership. Through his work with Forward Partners, he helps leaders and organizations build healthier, more sustainable leadership practices. He also hosts the podcasts The Leader Lab and Leading Thriving Cities.
The session will be offered both in person and virtually to provide flexible attendance options.

UMANT is excited to launch a summer leadership book discussion series centered on Performative Outrage by Brook Williams. This engaging and thought-provoking program is designed to create meaningful conversations among emerging local government leaders about leadership, communication, organizational culture, and navigating conflict in today’s environment.
Participants will have the opportunity to read the book alongside peers from across North Texas while engaging in both virtual and in-person discussions throughout the summer. The program is intentionally structured to provide flexibility for busy professionals—members may participate by purchasing a UMANT-provided book, purchasing their own copy independently, or simply joining the conversations.
